About us
The two met at a Swiss design fair.
Their shared passion for textiles, crafts, collaborative projects, and knowledge exchange was quickly recognised.
Sara Liz Marty
... is a designer and artist exploring alternative ways to interact with clothing, outside the prevailing paradigm of "take, make, waste”. Sara graduated with distinction in 2020 with a Master’s degree in "Fashion Futures" from the London College of Fashion at the University of the Arts London. Prior to that, she worked for several years as a freelance textile designer in London. In 2014, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in "Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors" at Bath Spa University.
In 2020, as part of her then-project, Nadja explored the production of Swiss linen and came across an article about Tessiner Blaudruck and Matteo Gehringer, one of the last masters of this craft. Enthusiastic, she shared her discovery with Sara, who then joined her in attending a workshop with Matteo. Impressed by the unique craft and Matteo, they initiated the joint project "Common Goods".
