Future Fashion explores the present and future of fashion and asks how we can rethink clothing in a time of overproduction, fast digital change, and environmental challenges. People in Switzerland buy some of the highest amounts of clothing in the world—about 15 kg (33 lbs) per person every year. Around 25% of these clothes are never worn. The exhibition looks at two realities: while ultra-fast fashion continues to speed up trends and production, many designers, brands, communities, and artists are creating new alternatives. Upcycling studios, clothing rental, "phygital" experiences (combining physical and digital), and digital experiments are changing how fashion is made, used, and designed.
